Arizona

                                                                             House

It was as hot as pungent spices and cheerily brisk, when we arrived in dry Arizona. The sun felt like glaring staring into my back turning my pale Michigan skin tan. The first house we rented was big but not gigantic. In the back yard you had a black table, under the shade of the house, with little designed crevasses, also in one corner there was a swaying grapefruit tree, in the other corner there was an octangular pool and a garden that was pretty much it. Whenever my gido came to visit we would pluck grapefruit from the tree pour some sugar on it and suck or eat it. It was the best treat ever! And yes better than candy. Then we would sit under the shade and relax under the cool cherry wind.
                                                                            School
At school the one thing I remember doing is eating lunch outside under a white tent. They did it in Arizona because one you can and it always sunny and two it's warm unlike Michigan. Another thing at school is we would go on a hill in our playground as a class, take a gigantic sheet with the colored triangles on it, like green blue and red, run in a circle with somebody at every corner, lift it high and quickly, sit on it. And it would act like a blown up tent. And kids would run around inside with the teachers sitting down on it. I don't remember my friends I do remember picture day though. When my dad dropped me off in my class, There was a blond haired girl with a puzzle. I went over and sat down with her, and I tried to fit a couple pieces and she said, "My dad said to keep turning the pieces and you can fit them in right."

It was my first Halloween their and I was snow white I think I was 4. "Ding Dong" the door bell rang through my eardrums. I looked at the glass that was to the side of the door. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" I shrieked there I was frightened of a buh costume and a ghost costume with a hood over and streaming blood going down it's rib. Of course I screamed because I didn't know what to expect at the door, especially what I just described to you. My mom and I were in my dad's Volvo driving, On the radio my mom was playing " Just a spoon-full of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down, the medicine go dooown" and so on. Just then  we drove by a car incident. "Ooo" my mom said in a deep tone. You could see a police car there inspecting it, in car you could see little tiny flames. The police officer was bald wearing black shaded sunglasses look through the passenger window.

I remember when I was little my dad would garden and run with me and my brother. Afterwards he would spit on the gravel because his face was hot and sweaty and then me and my brother would do try to spit like him and it would make him laugh. I used to have a fisher price camera  I could take pictures with and I still have it today, and when I look through it I can see pictures of my mom and Gido and Tata sitting on the sofa or in the kitchen or through the window.

You might realize Arizona is home to the scorpion. Scorpions in case you didn't know have tails that curl, and at the end of their tail is a black prick. A Scorpions tail has venom in it, so if you get stung you might have to go to the hospital to get poison control. So every night my dad had to check for scorpions. If there were any scorpions my dad would cut it with a shovel and shovel it out. When I was little I didn't worry about stuff like getting stung or going to the hospital, I think if I was a little older I guess I would worry a LOT more. And by the way my advise to you if you live in Arizona the smaller the scorpion the more deadly it is.

One day a lady came to our school wearing a cowboy hat and a white tank-top, with blue jeans. It was like a field trip coming to you instead of the other way around. She brought horses and donkeys and geese. During the field trip she gave every body a cowboy hat. Mine which I still have today, is red rimmed with a red star in the middle, That's all I remember about school.

                                                               Other Memories

I was about three when I moved to Arizona I was turning six when we flew back to Michigan. So about 3 years of my life I lived there. My sister was born in Arizona December 17th, 2008. She has blondish brownish hair, but it's not dirty blonde, and me and my brother have dark thick brown hair. And I realize from these memories I have you should try to cherish the memories you have, because life can go by within a snap.
